Infinity Shotgun by DeVault Industries LLC Gun Warranty You have just purchased the finest and most technologically advanced shotgun built today. DeVault Industries LLC would like to thank you for the purchase of our product and wish you many years of shooting success. WARNING: DeVault Industries LLC has spent many hours of research in the design of the Infinity shotgun and have incorporated many features in the material of the trigger and the barrel. The material being used is heat-treated and hardened above what may be found in other shotguns. For this reason, DeVault Industries LLC requires that factory-trained personnel MUST do any repairs made to the Infinity shotgun. The Infinity shotgun was designed for target shooting only and should only be used for target shooting purposes. Because of this feature the Infinity is "not" designed with a trigger safety. DeVault Industries LLC requires any lubricants that contain a flammable carrier to be thoroughly wiped off of all surfaces before gun is fired. Do not allow spray lubricants to soak and penetrate the wood stock and fore end. Never soak the inside of the barrel with lubricant and stand the gun upright, allowing the lubricant to run into the breech and trigger area of the receiver. Avoid lubricants containing mineral spirits or other low flash point solvents. Failure to follow the above lubrication instructions could result in a severe explosion causing physical harm or death to yourself or persons around you. THE FOLLOWING WILL VOID YOUR Infinity Shotgun WARRANTY: Repairs or refinishing of metal parts of the Infinity by non-factory personnel Altering any metal parts from their original factory specifications, which include: Receiver, Mono-block, Trigger, Trigger Housing, Fore End Iron, and Barrel. Any damage from the use of hand loaded shotgun shells. DeVault Industries LLC requires that 12 gauge Factory Ammunition be used in our product. Under normal use all parts and labor are guaranteed for (10) ten years. All adhesive joints are guaranteed for a period of (10) ten years. Any repairs “Not Done” by factory-authorized personnel will void warranty in its entirety. Failure to follow the above requirements will void any warranty expressed or written by DeVault Industries LLC. SERIOUS DAMAGE OR PERSONAL INJURY COULD OCCUR IF THE WARNINGS ARE NOT COMPLIED WITH. Always remember that all firearms must be treated with the utmost respect and always keep SAFETY number one when handling any firearm. Thank you, DeVault Industries LLC Firearms Safety Along with the ownership of a shotgun comes a tremendous amount of responsibility. There is no excuse for careless or abusive handling of any firearm. At all times, handle any firearm with intense respect for its power and potential danger. PLEASE Read AND Understand ALL OF THE cautions, PROPER handling PROCEDURES AND INSTRUCTIONS OUTLINED IN THIS MANUAL BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO USE YOUR INFINITY shotgun A. Be sure that you always keep the muzzle end of the shotgun pointed down or in a safe position even though you know the firearm is not loaded. Never point any firearm at anything you do not intend to shoot. Never point the muzzle end of any firearm at any part of your body. Always be aware of all persons and property around you and within range of your ammunition. B. Whenever you handle a firearm or hand it to another person, always open the action immediately and visually check the chamber of the firearm for ammunition or obstructions. C. Always keep the chamber empty of any firearm that is not in use. Never transport any firearm loaded. D. Beware of barrel obstructions for the safety of both you and your firearm. Mud, snow and various other objects may inadvertently lodge in the barrel bore. This will result in increased pressure to the gun barrel and may cause injury or death to yourself or others and damage to your gun. Once you have checked the shotgun to see that it is empty, again, open the action and look through the “chamber end” of the barrel to be sure that it is clear of any obstruction. If an obstruction is seen, no matter how small, clean the bore with a cleaning rod and patch. E. As a safety precaution, always disassemble your firearm before storing. Store your firearm ammunition separately and well beyond the reach of children. Take all safeguards to ensure your firearm does not become available to untrained, inexperienced or unwelcome hands. F. Always be sure that you use the proper ammunition. The barrel and action of this shotgun have been made with safety margins over the pressures developed by established American commercial loads. Nevertheless, DeVault Industries LLC can assume no responsibility for incidents that occur through the use of cartridges of nonstandard dimensions that develop pressures in excess of commercially available ammunition, which have been loaded in accordance with standards established by Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturer's Institute (SAAMI). Be alert to the signs of ammunition malfunction. If you detect an off sound or light recoil when a shell is fired, do not load another shell into the chamber. Open the action and remove any shell from the chamber. View the inside of the barrel from the “chamber end” to make sure that a wad or other obstructions have not remain in the barrel. Completely clear the barrel before reloading and firing. G. Never put a 20-gauge shell in a 12-gauge gun. Never store shells of mixed gauges in a common container or in your pockets. Examine every shell you put in your shotgun. The most certain way to bulge or rupture a barrel is to drop a 20-gauge shell into a 12-gauge chamber. The 20-gauge shell will not fall completely through the barrel; its rim will be caught by the front of a 12-gauge chamber. Your gun will misfire (with the chamber appearing to be empty). It is then possible to load a 12-gauge shell behind the 20-gauge shell. If the 12 gauge shell is then fired, the result will be a so-called "12-20- burst" which can cause extensive damage to your shotgun and serious injuries or death to you and others. H. Use shells of the correct length. The size of the chamber is inscribed on the bottom of the barrel. Do not use 3" or 3-1/2" shells in a barrel with a 2-3/4" chamber. I. Examine every cartridge you put in your shotgun. DeVault Industries LLC cannot assume any responsibility through the use of unsafe or improper ammunition combinations. It is your responsibility to read and heed all warnings including those that appear in the instruction manual and on ammunition boxes and to secure the most up-to-date information on the safe handling procedures for your Infinity shotgun. J. Keep your finger away from the trigger while unloading, or loading until you are ready to shoot. Do not load and close the action of your Infinity until it is your turn to shoot. K. Be sure of your target and backstop, particularly during low light periods. Know the range of your ammunition. Never shoot at water or hard objects. L. If your firearm fails to fire, keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. Hold this position for a minimum of 30 seconds. Carefully open the action and remove the cartridge. If the primer is indented, the cartridge should be disposed of in a way that cannot cause harm. If the primer is not indented, a qualified factory gunsmith should examine your firearm and the cause of the malfunction should be corrected before further use. M. Wear eye and ear protection at all times when shooting. Unprotected, repeated exposure to gunfire can cause hearing damage. Wear ear protectors to guard against such damage. Wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes from flying particles. Also, wear eye protection when disassembling and cleaning your shotgun to prevent the possibility of springs, spring-tensioned parts, solvents or other agents from contacting your eyes. N. Dropping a loaded firearm can cause an accidental discharge. Be extremely careful during any shooting activity, to avoid dropping any firearm. 0. Be defensive and on guard against unsafe firearm handling around you and others. Don't be timid when it comes to gun safety. If you observe other shooters violating any of these safety precautions, politely suggest safer handling practices. P. Be certain your shotgun is unloaded before cleaning. Special and extreme care should be taken to be sure your firearm is unloaded before disassembly, cleaning and re-assemble. Many accidents occur when a firearm is being cleaned. Keep ammunition away from the cleaning location. Never test the mechanical function of any firearm with live ammunition. Q. Educate and supervise firearms safety to all members of your family, especially to children and non-shooters. Closely supervise newcomers to the shooting sports. Encourage enrollment in hunting/shooting safety courses. R. Never drink alcoholic beverages or take any type of drugs before or during shooting. Your vision and judgment could be dangerously impaired, making handling of your firearm unsafe to you or to others. S. Read and heed all warnings in this safety manual and on ammunition boxes. It is your responsibility to secure the most up-to-date information on the safe handling procedures for your Infinity shotgun. DeVault Industries LLC cannot assume any responsibility when unsafe or improper arms and ammunition combinations are used. T. The use of steel shot is prohibited and will cause permanent damage to the Infinity shotgun. Use only lead shot to ensure proper performance. U. When storing your Infinity shotgun, release the spring pressure off of the trigger. NEVER use a snap cap, empty shell or other devices in chamber to dry fire your Infinity. As a result of the special design of the Infinity shotgun it will suffer no damage to the hammer or firing pin by dry firing. If the trigger is removed from the receiver, never allow the washer on the back of the ram to hit the back of the housing. The screw can snap off, use a hard surface in the front of the ram to cushion the impact. V. SPECIAL NOTICE: The trigger of your Infinity shotgun contains very high quality hardened and tempered steel. Do not attempt to alter or repair any trigger parts. Serious damage will occur if factory-trained personnel do not do repairs. The in-line ram needs a light coating of oil every 3 to 4 thousand rounds. TUBE INSTALLATION A. Unload your Infinity shotgun fully, inspect the chamber to make sure it does not contain any live ammunition. B. Before installing a tube, check the internal choke tube threads in the muzzle, as well as the threads on the choke tube to be sure they are clean. The skirt end of the choke tube has been machined matched to the internal bore of the barrel, before installing a choke tube check this area of the tube. If the skirt end of the tube has been dinged, dented, or damaged in any way, do not install it into the muzzle of the shotgun. Installation of a damaged tube will allow the gas pressure of a loaded shell to get behind the tube, this will result in blowing the tube out of the end of the barrel or blowing off the end of the entire barrel. This action could cause serious harm to you or others around you. If the choke tube is in good condition, lightly lubricate the threads with anti-seize and install the choke tube. C. Using your fingers, screw the appropriate tube into the muzzle end of the barrel, unthreaded end first, notched end outward. When it becomes finger-tight, use the choke tube wrench provided with the Infinity to firmly seat the tube. The choke tube should be periodically checked to assure that it is tight and firmly seated. Before checking, follow all the safety guidelines outlined above. TUBE REMOVAL A. Unload the Infinity shotgun fully. Inspect the chamber to make sure that it does not contain any live ammunition. B. Use the tube wrench provided with the Infinity shotgun to loosen the tube, turning it counterclockwise. Finger- twist the tube the rest of the way out of the barrel. Do not fire this shotgun without having a choke tube installed. Permanent damage may result to the threads. Do not use Briley choke tubes in any shotgun barrel not supplied by DeVault Industries LLC The choke tubes supplied by DeVault Industries LLC are custom fit for the Infinity and are skirt matched to the bore. Also, do not use any other choking device from another shotgun barrel not supplied by DeVault Industries LLC. Use only the appropriate gauge and type of choke tubes marked on the tubes supplied with the Infinity shotgun. Caution: Whenever handling any shotgun for the purpose of removing or installing a choking device, make absolutely certain the gun is fully unloaded, and the action is open! Never attempt to remove or install a shotgun-choking device in a loaded firearm.
